At the end of the day, just like any other search engine out there – TopBiz relies on the content you publish on your listing in order to bridge the gap between your business and potential customers on our platform.

So, what does this mean for you?

To illustrate this point in a simple example – a business that works the keyword “dishwasher repair” into their description, tag-line, or has it featured in their reviews is far more likely to show up for someone looking for a company to fix their dishwasher than a business that doesn’t.

2. Publish Your Address

One of the key ranking factors in search results on TopBiz is proximity. So if you want to make sure that customers in your area can find your business – you’ll need to add your location to your profile.

However, you don’t necessarily have to add your full address!

You can simply add the city you service such as “Vancouver, BC” and our geo-algorithm will do it’s magic.

Pro Tip: Featuring your full address is a great way to score an NAP (Name, Address, Place) citation with Google, helping your local SEO.

5. Claim Or Promote Your Listing

If you’ve read our recent post on the TopBiz Promotion Platform, you likely already know that promoted and claimed businesses will always show up on-top of regular listings in search results.

Claimed listings are automatically phone-verified to ensure that customers are dealing with a real and reputable business in their area.

So, how do you claim your listing?

You can do this by heading over to the “My Listings” tab on your dashboard, selecting the listing you want to claim, and clicking the “Switch Plan” button on the listing’s card.

But, what if you need an extra boost in visibility?

Well, that’s where promoted listings come into play!
